About Alessio FuriaSince his early teen-age years, Alessio has been attracted by the magic of the nightlife and clubbing; at the age of 13, he began to attend underground clubs on the Italian central-east coast area, intrigued by the particular and unusual music played in those places. His passion for House Music took him through a journey initiated as a DJ, starting from small private parties to clubs and events around his native area in the Abruzzo region; among his initial experiences, one of the most important was at the BODEGUITA club, on the Italian coast, as a 3-year resident DJ at the venue. As a university student, his studies brought him close to the music and comunication industry, transferring his work in Rome at Key Note Multimedia (www.maurizioclemente.com), a booking agency for djs. He worked in the production and distribution process of documentary movies on the history of club culture from the beginning until recent times (including acts such as Love Saves The Day, Maestro, Unusual Suspects, High Tech Soul, Italo House Story) as a consultant for the musical sections. This experience brought him in touch with important artists on an international level such as David Mancuso David Mancuso, Tony Humphries, Jovonn, Matthias Heilbronn, Paul Trouble Anderson, Supernova, Kerri Chandler, Ralf Gum, Luis Radio, Danny “Buddha” Morales, Michael Watford, Miguel Migs, and many more. In the meanwhile, he also performed at OBER2 in Rome’s Lungotevere, RIVA BEACH CLUB in Fregene, RADIO CAFE’, LANIFICIO 159, RADISSON HOTEL in Rome, as well as during the ATP Masters 1000 Italian Open in 2008 at the Foro Italico. Furthermore, he was also hired by Equal Records (Italian soulful label whose releases included Deep Swing, Darryl D’Bonneau, Dawn Tallman, Luis Radio) as Label Manager. In 2006, Alessio became a member of Project MaGmA (www.magmaweb.it), a radio format supporting international undeground music: broadcasted in syndication in 45 different italian radios, MaGmA has gained support from household names such as Satoshi Tomiie, Robbie Rivera, ATFC, Ralf Gum, Groove Junkies, Dj Dealer, Sosue, Phil Kamp and others that joined the project. During the last months, Alessio has become an official partner of the soulful house web-radio Smoothtraxx (www.smoothtraxx.gr), collaborating with Jonathan Meyer (Purple Music) during the one theme-based event “THE CLUB”, organized every friday at the BUENA ONDA club in Latina.
